The Challenger convertible waiting to accept the front clip of a donor coupe.
Here the rear floor and trunk pan is being staged to be merged to the rear of the car.
The front clip of the donor coupe has been harvested and is in the process of being accepted by the Plum Crazy 70 Challenger convertible. The windshield bow was removed from the donor car clip since convertibles use one enabling the convertible top to hook up. There are no after market bows produced so this piece has to be fabricated or pulled from a donor convertible.
With the new front clip, rear floor and quarter panels in stalled it's time to go for sandblasting.
Painting the bottom is one of the first indications of how nice this car is going to look when complete. It looks like this clip also offers a 26 inch radiator cross member support.
With the fenders and hood installed and lined up it's clear the the car is straight as an arrow and the gaps are spot on. The Shaker hood is a nice touch as well.
